| | Common Names: Glowlight Danio
Scientific Name: Danio Choprai
Availability: Widely available throughout the aquarium hobby.
Origin: Northern Myanmar, (formerly Burma).
Overview: These are among my favorite fish. They are very good jumpers, so a covered aquarium is a must. Best when kept in larger groups of 10+ fish.
Compatiblity: Non-aggressive, they should not not be kept with any larger aggressive fish.
Feeding: Not a picky eater, they will eat almost anything offered. Like most of the other danios, they are surface feeders.
Sexing: The females are usually larger and more full bodied. The males are slightly smaller and slimmer.
Breeding: Not one of the easiest of the Danios to breed, as with other danios, the major problem is to prevent the adults from eating the eggs or the fry. | | | |
