Availability: Some what hard to find, not always available in the aquarium hobby.

Origin: China, Laos 

Overview: These are large fish. They will make use of all tank levels, top, middle and bottom.

Compatiblity: Non-aggressive, a large and very active fish.

Feeding: Not a picky eater, they will eat almost anything offered. Like most of the other danios, they are surface feeders.

Sexing: The females are usually larger and more full bodied. The males are slightly smaller and slimmer.

Breeding: Some what easy to breed fish. Like most of the danios, the major problem is to prevent the adults from eating the eggs or the fry.
