Availability: Widely available throughout the aquarium hobby. Origin: India Overview: The Leopard Danio is generally believed to be a spotted color morph of the Zebra Danio. Their behavior is typical of danios, peaceful and very active.
Compatiblity: Non-aggressive, they should not not be kept with any larger aggressive fish. Feeding: Not a picky eater, they will eat almost anything offered. Like most of the other danios, they are surface feeders. Sexing: The females are usually larger and more full bodied. The males are slightly smaller and slimmer. Breeding: Another very easy to breed fish. Like most of the danios, the major problem is to prevent the adults from eating the eggs or the fry.
