Availability: Not widely available throughout the aquarium hobby. Origin: Myanmar Overview: There are currently two known versions of the kyathit danio. This version with spots and another version with a striped appearance,(Orange Finned Danio). Compatiblity: Non-aggressive, they should not not be kept with any larger aggressive fish. Feeding: Not a picky eater, they will eat almost anything offered. Like most of the other danios, they are surface feeders. Sexing: The females are usually larger and more full bodied. The males are slightly smaller and slimmer. Breeding: Slightly more difficult to breed than some of the other danios. Like most of the danios, the major problem is to prevent the adults from eating the eggs or the fry. | | | |
